Forza 4 brings Kinect's motion sensing ability to bear on its simulation racing. But rather than dumbing down the driving experience, body and limb tracking offer unexpected new levels of realism.

The surprising headline about Forza 4 (ed: or possible Forza 3 Kinect, Kinorza 3, Forzect 3) is its Kinect support. On first appearance Turn 10 seem to forgotten their strength as the bastion of realistic racing on the 360. As you hear more about the Kinect driving controls though, things start to fall into place.

The ability to steer by holding an imaginary wheel is not really the point, in fact it's Kinect's ability to track body position and let racers look around as they are driving that is the real headline. Combine this with automatic braking and acceleration and you have an experience that anyone can enjoy.

Beyond what is inevitably something of a Kinect party line Forza 4 still has plenty of enhancements for its main audience - the hard core racers. Simulation and presentation are once again promised to improve as it the level and choice of driving assists.

Then there is the explore your car Kinect feature where you can literally walk around and inspect cars you own. It sounds like a bit of a gimmick, but when you experience the level of detail and Kinect interactions it actually adds extra engagement and reality to the game.

The Xbox 360 release date and exact feature list of Forza 4 is still to be confirmed, we will keep you posted.

With so many different perspectives it can be hard to know where to start - a little like walking into a crowded pub. Sorry about that.

But so far we've not found a way to streamline our review output - there's basically too much of it. So, rather than dilute things for newcomers we have decided to live with the hubbub while new readers find the they will enjoy.

Each is an easy way to follow our writers. They focus on a particular perspective and offer hand crafted anecdotal reivews. The depends on how you play games and what sort of person you are: Family Reviews
