Super Mario All-Stars comes to the Wii as its 25th Anniversary Edition. The pack contains four Mario from the halcyon days of the 80's NES system, as well as new collectibles.
The boxed set contains Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels all on one disk. They may look dated by today's standards, but they are as endlessly playable as ever.
As well as a special booklet outlining the plumber's history an audio CD is included of music from Super Mario games spanning the last 25 years - from Super Mario Bros to Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Each game has been remade with improved 16-bit graphics and sound. Game play, is untouched though, bar some bugs being fixed and a few tweaks to the physics. The biggest change though is a save feature that enables you to save your progress at any point.
Although these titles are available in their original form via the Wii's Virtual Console, and on the DS via the GBA Mario Advance collections (Super Mario Advance, Super Mario Advance 2, Super Mario Advance 3, Super Mario Advance 4) the collection is a nice easy way to revisit the games in one place.
Super Mario All-Stars is released in Europe on 3rd December 2010.
